School Uniform
Our school uniform is designed to give our children a sense of identity as part of our school community whilst remaining affordable for all families.
Our School Uniform
During the winter, girls are permitted to wear a white collared polo shirt, blue jumper/cardigan, grey pinafore dress/skirt/trousers and grey tights.
Boys are permitted to wear a white collared polo shirt, grey trousers and a blue jumper.
We also ask that all Reception children bring a pair of wellies into school with their names on for outside learning.
During the summer months girls are permitted to continue wearing the winter uniform as above or a blue and white gingham summer dress or skirt with white collared polo shirt. Boys are permitted to continue wearing the winter uniform as above or grey school shorts.
It is important that the children wear black, suitable, sturdy, flat shoes. Long or looped earrings are not allowed at all for safety reasons, studs only should be worn at school and these must be removed or taped for PE. Children with long hair must have this tied back when attending school.
We strongly recommend every child has a book bag and these can be purchased from the suppliers listed below.
Please remember to name all items of clothing clearly.
PE School Clothing
For PE lessons children wear their PE kit for the whole day on PE days. This ensures the maximum amount of time is spent on their PE learning. P.E. kit is required. Indoor kits include a blue or white t-shirt, black PE shorts. A dark coloured hooded jumper can be worn in colder weather. Children can wear trainers. Earrings must be removed for PE lessons or taped up at home before school. Children will not be able to join in PE lessons if their earrings are not removed or taped.
Forest School Clothing
Forest School takes place outdoors all year round, so children must be dressed appropriately for the weather. Layers are essential, particularly during the colder months. Please provide warm layers, a waterproof coat and trousers, and suitable footwear such as wellies or waterproof boots. Hats and gloves are recommended in winter, and sun hats in summer. A spare change of clothes, including socks and trousers, should be provided for muddy or wet days.
Children should not wear football kits in school.

Second-Hand School Uniform
We have a selection of second-hand school uniform which is on rails outside the main reception on dry days. Please feel free to come and have a look. Items include jumpers, trousers, PE kit, skirts, pinnafores, summer dresses, shoes, trainers, coats and other donated items.
All proceeds go to FABS and are reinvested back into the school to support enrichment activities and opportunities for our children. Donations of good-quality, pre-loved school uniform are always very welcome and greatly appreciated.
Lost Property
We kindly ask all parents and carers to ensure that all items of school clothing are clearly labelled with your child’s name. This helps us to return lost property to its rightful owner as quickly as possible.
All named items found will be returned to your child’s class as soon as possible.
Any unnamed items will be placed in the grey chest on the main playground, between Manta Ray and Turtle classes. Please check the chest if your child has misplaced an item.
The chest is emptied regularly, and we will inform all parents and carers in advance of when this will take place to allow sufficient time to check for any missing belongings.
